Who We Are
American Patrimony is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the recollection and transmission of the foundational texts of Western Civilization generally and the American experience in particular. Our mission is to constate this understanding first to one another and then preserve this wisdom for those who will follow us down the generations. We recover what has been lost and retain what has been found.
American Patrimony functions as a mutual aid fraternity devoted to assisting one another in all tasks, great and small. We are not a national organization; our interests are county and State only. Our members stretch from North Georgia along the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Our goal to join individual men together to form durable fraternal bonds. This 1937 photo of the Hibernian Society isn’t just a group of nicely attired Irish gentlemen having a banquet in Savannah, GA, this is a successful model for the application of civilized persuasion.
Civilized Power
“This is the true nature of gratitude. Time gnaws and diminishes all things, but it increases and adds to our good deeds: anytime we have extended a generous hand to a rational human being, that goodness keeps growing and glowing in the man's heart, forever remembered, constantly contemplated.” François Rabelais
